The business, Fourwinds Leisure was created by the owners in 2011 and since then they have developed and grown it into the well established and highly regarded holiday site that it is now.

Offering a range of accommodation choices is a particularly strong point for this site. Whether you wish to bring your caravan, motor home, or tent, or if you prefer the comfort of glamping in a shepherds hut or feel like you are going from home to home in one of the B&B rooms or apartment and lodge means everyone can stay on the site regardless of preference. This works particularly well for large extended and multi-generational families.

In addition the owners provide a range of activities especially canoeing from their 2 moorings on the Old River Nene at the bottom of the site, archery and rifle shooting. This spot on the river is also very highly praised by renowned fisherman and this could be capitalised on further. The site also adjoins the national cycle route no. 63 and the March footpath no. 7 ‘Hereward Way Walk’ which brings additional visitors to stay. The owners also offer a breakfast hot food service as well as a Friday BBQ on selected dates. They will also provide a camp fire supper for larger groups on a pre-booked basis.

The site currently has permission as a certificated site for 15 external units with there being 4 hard standing pitches, 8 grass pitches and 4 camp fire pit pitches to be able to accommodate differing visitors requirements. They are also able to operate under the 28 day rule as an agricultural land owner with permitted development rights meaning that they can allow as many units on site for a maximum of 28 days. This normally works out to be for a 2 night weekend over a 14 week period during the high season. In addition they are permitted to allow Rallies of any size use the site who operate under their own Rally licence.

The main property as can be seen from the floorplan has been divided up to suit the current owners requirements however this could easily be configured in a number of different ways in order to work for a new owner and their personal preference as to how they wanted to operate.

Externally the plot extends to around 5 acres in total and as well as providing the previously stated pitches there are also 2 shepherds huts and a self-contained lodge. In addition there are a number of outbuildings particularly the old stable block which could be converted to alternative uses such as further accommodation or shower and toilet facilities, subject to any planning consent that may be required.

To the rear of the site there is direct access onto the river together with 1 x 5m and 1 x 10m moorings meaning that larger motorised boats can be moored up. The site also provides upgraded Wi-Fi and has the benefit of solar panels.
